2023 KC Moon & Water Lantern Festival

It's the time of the year when we gathered as a big community family and celebrate the mid-autumn festival and to keep our tradition going. We will be releasing the beautiful water lanterns again this year! Come to join us at Shawnee Mission Park!
Date: Saturday, September 30, 2023 (Postponed to Sunday, October 1 if it rains)
Time: 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Place: Shelter 12 at Shawnee Mission Park
Address: 7900 Renner Rd, Lenexa, KS 66219
(West 79th Street and Renner Road in Shawnee)
Activities: Lantern riddle guess, Tai-chi, Dragon and Lion dance, Chinese medicine, Culture showcases, Kids friendly outdoor games, Karaoke, Movie, Food, Moon cakes, Launch water lanterns, etc.
The activities are free to the public. The lantern and food are available for purchase online or onsite.
Gather with friends and family to share in the joy and meaning of this special festival. As the lanterns light up the water, let's reflect on unity, harmony, and the beauty of our shared heritage.
